Tadej Pogačar (UAE Staff Emirates-XRG) sealed his 3rd profession identify on the UAE Excursion after profitable the overall degree summit end at Jebel Hafeet with a 7.6km solo transfer.

The Slovenian used to be already within the race lead, having triumphed at the mountaintop end at Jebel Jais previous within the week. If issues have been shut on degree 3, with Pogačar main house a bunch of six riders, he got rid of all doubt with a dominant show on Sunday.

With Pogačar’s crown already in position, having attacked from a lead crew already lower down because of the crosswinds previous within the degree, the rest podium spots have been left to struggle over from a chasing pack of sturdy climbers.

Finally, it used to be Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek) who took 2nd at the day, 32 seconds down. The Italian outsprinted Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious), who completed an additional 3 seconds adrift of the champion.

The 2025 UAE Excursion’s ultimate common classification would replicate the degree completing order, with Ciccone jumping as much as take 2nd general, 1:14 down. Bilbao ended up with 3rd position, 1:19 again on Pogačar.

“A lot of guys had the last day to do something today. With the crosswinds, it was good to make some chaos in the group and for us GC riders we had to be careful and attentive. It split the first time in the crosswinds. Somehow it worked. At first I didn’t believe it would be cooperative but it went to the finish so it was a good day.

“I would not have minded to move simple to the climb, however like this, it used to be lovely excellent. Florian [Vermeersch] and Rune [Herregodts] within the entrance saved getting me water and cooling me down so it did not make it too laborious an afternoon.

“That’s when Rune pulled off. Two non-climbers left for me in the bunch so they pulled as much as they could. Then I decided to go solo and I didn’t want to be surprised or counter-attacked or anything, so it was better to go at my own pace to the top.”

With Pogačar taking house the full win and Ciccone and Bilbao sealing off the rostrum spots, 3 different jerseys have been left to be passed out following degree 7.

The golf green issues jersey went to double degree winner Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), whilst Iván Romeo (Movistar) gained the white younger rider’s jersey. The black intermediate sprints jersey used to be gained via Đorđe Đurić (Answer Tech-Vini Fantini).
